What an easy transaction. Starting on the date they said and was in and our in a few days. The workers were so nice! Dawn the reception and Kevin(the owner) were there the whole time and after the job for any questions that needed answers. Would totally recommend them to friend. We are thrilled with the work done on our yard by Kevin and his Team! The path designed was a bit of a challenge, but they made it look easy. Kevin’s team was prompt, extremely hard working, open to communication, and worked with me to get the design just right. They were respectful of our property, cleaning up before they left and taking care not to trample existing plants. The workers represented their company, with MacMillan work clothes and trucks. It is obvious that Kevin invests in his staff and his work ethic and pride show in the final result. Thank you Kevin, Maureen, and the well skilled workers of McMillan Landscape Contractors!

Kevin, Maureen and the team are great. Always super responsive via email which we loved! Our backyard privacy bushes looks great! They also did a spring clean up for us which was very helpful. They even went above and beyond by adding some seed and hay to some bald patches in the grass near our new landscaping. Would absolutely recommend to anyone for their reliability alone. My neighbor recommended McMillan for a small project - removing a diseased tree (that was also overgrown) and redoing edging. Thrilled with the work! My back yard had a lot of damage done by the remnants of Hurricane Ida on Sept. 1. I called McMillan Landscaping and Kevin promptly came out to take a look and come up with a plan. We found McMillan through a web search when looking to complete a patio renovation project that involved taking out our two old, uneven, crumbling 1950s concrete slabs and old stairs, and replacing them with Cambridge pavers/caps. Their bid was competitive – but NOT questionably so (i.e., so low that you have to wonder why it’s so cheap) and their customer service was excellent and genuine. From start to finish, our experience was nothing but pleasant and stress-free. Kevin answered every question we had without making it seem like a bother, and he was very respectful of our schedules and property. The whole team is efficient, professional, and friendly (I really wish I could remember everyone's names, but Victor and Martin come to mind as two of the employees, as well as Tom). One thing I always look for in contractors is not just how they treat their customers, but how they treat the people working for them. The interactions between Kevin and his guys were very collaborative and mutually respectful. They have fun with each other and it seems to be a great working relationship. Not only did the job turn out beautifully, but it was started and completed even sooner than we anticipated. That’s a huge deal, because as we all know, contractors are often known for having projects drag on and on once they start. A+ all around; would highly recommend. Thank you so much, McMillan!

They did an Amazing Job on our front walkway, stairs, back patio, walkway and driveway. The men were hardworking, pleasant and very neat about their work. Are you like me and wanted to improve your outdoor living space? Well, look no further than McMilan Landscape Contractors in Nutley, NJ. First and foremost, like any homeowner, I did my homework throughout the process and received several quotes from other local businesses, but nobody beat McMilan on price and communication. For me, communication is key and many small businesses you work directly with the owner and the communication is poor and you're not treated like a serious customer. Since day one, I felt like a customer and was treated with above and beyond service from the Owner Kevin and from Dawn the Office Manager. Our pato paver discussions began in early May and they kept me in the loop every step of the way and I couldn't be more grateful for the constant e-mails and calls. What I really appreciated the most was the honesty. My Wife and I chose a color that we felt would look really nice and match our outdoor bar pavers, but Kevin and Dawn provided us with their honest feedback and recommendations on an alternative. I'm really happy we didn't stick to our guns and went with their decision because we have ZERO regrets! Our patio paver job began on a Wednesday and I was home to meet the head mason, the owner who oversaw day one and the entire team. The whole team were very respectable, professional and did an outstanding job from the start of the job, through the cleanup process. For the grass areas that were damaged from large tractors in my yard they came back, raked the area, and dropped fresh grass seed down. My Wife and I have never spent more time in our yard. The prior area was dead grass and dirt; now we have an outdoor living space and we are decorating as we speak. A HUGE thank you to Kevin, Dawn, Marcello and the team at McMilan - thank you! We have used McMillan Landscape for the last 8 years for multiple projects and each project was completed on time and was outstanding workmanship. The most recent job was this week involving cutting back the street curb to widen driveway access, create a whole new widened apron and to remove the broken down dangerous front sidewalk and craft a completely new one. The team did a PHENOMENAL job, were very professional and thorough. Every tidbit of rubble was removed, properties on both sides of our home were not damaged in any way and the end product was a work of art! As the homeowner, we did not have to worry about any detail of the work. Kevin’s team was on time, and were experts in what needed to be done and completed it all in 2 days! The second was installing a beautiful new patio for us in the backyard. Kevin came out personally, quoted out the job and Dawn was able to schedule us quickly. One of the best contractors I’ve worked with. Not only did they save my pool, a sink hole opened up after Ida but they made my yard look like a resort. This year we needed our cement front porch replaced and wanted to use pavers for the walkway. Kevin suggested taking the stoop out altogether. It looks amazing!!! And they did it in one day! The guys were so nice, professional and worked very hard. If you need work done I would highly recommend.

I have been a customer of McMillan Landscapes since 2013. They primarily take care of my lawn but I have also used them to install new bluestone patios, build retaining walls and boulder walls, install entire landscaping plans as well as drainage solutions. The whole team from the office staff, through the ground crews to Kevin himself are very easy to work with. They use modern equipment, including electric leaf blowers which is a requirement in my town. When working on larger projects, Kevin is very accessible and will help with the design. He pays attention to the details and will oversee the work closely to ensure satisfaction and that it comes in as estimated. For example, when one of the patios that I had them install settled in an odd way, Kevin sent a team to fix it at no additional cost and then followed up after some time to make sure it was all working well. I would highly recommend Kevin and his company.

I can't say enough good things about Kevin and McMillan Landscaping! I began using him when he first started his business for my home and commercial property. They have exceptional service! My lawns and plantings always look spectacular. The also handle my snow removal. We had an area of our yard that was very problematic, with a rough rock wall made of loose stone that constantly was in shambles and an odd patch of dirt alongside the deck that seemed to become a perpetual mud pit covered in weeds. Knowing we really needed some professional landscaping/hardscaping help and prefering to use local businesses, we came across McMillan Landscape Contractors and requested that they come out, assess our problem areas and give us a quote. I was pleasantly surprised when we got a call and an appointment very quickly. Additionally, Kevin McMillan, the owner, came personally to have a discussion with us and made some recommendations about a retaining wall and stone paver area that was perfect. We quickly had a formal quote that was also surprisingly fair for the amount of work to be done and well within our budget. We contracted the job and Kevin and his team kept us informed all along the way with dates and project steps. The workers were extraordinarily efficient and you would never know a hardscaping job was in the works. There was no disruption to the yard or any inconvenience to us at all. The hardscaping was completed in two days and the plantings in just a couple of hours. All the debris from the old wall and side property was cleanly disposed of and had totally transformed both problem areas into ones we now love. I cannot express enough thanks to Kevin and his outstanding crew for their professionalism, design talent, commitment in doing exactly what was promised and on time with an overall quality and value that surpassed all expectations. This is truly a very high class operation that I would recommend to anyone seeking this type of work. Hats off to the entire McMillan Landscape team for a job done exceedingly well!

These guys saved my pool last year. We had a sink hole open up and they came and repitched the yard and set the pavers to direct the water away. It looks like a resort. Yesterday they did my front porch and walkway and it looks amazing. Great work, professional and kind. I would highly recommend.
